Old Sacramento Engagement Session

I was so excited to go back to Old Sacramento for Katy & Kurt’s engagement session. This couple is special for so many reasons. I have known Katy’s family ever since I moved out to California; and I have to say her mom is one of the sweetest I know. And Katy is no different.

I was already excited when Katy talked to me about her style and vision for wedding and photos. I was even more excited seeing Katy & Kurt when they walked in with their oh-so-cool-vintage-outfit. There was something so elegant about the Mint and Yellow. The details, the love, the looks – it was a perfect combo to mark the evening so memorable. We talked about the decor and plans for the big event. All I can say is that I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in 3 weeks!

Baby Blake turns 6-month: Folsom Portrait Photographer

Oh, how can I describe the cuteness of this little man! Seriously, I was swooning all over as soon as I saw little Blake all dressed up in the cutest outfit ever. He is so perfect for camera. And why wouldn’t he be! His parents, Crystal and BJ, are so perfect themselves. I can’t wait to see him for first birthday pictures in a few months. But for now check out the photos from his 6-month session. Isn’t he the most adorable kid?

Folsom Family Portraits: Dhuggas

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet up with the Dhuggas for their family portraits. It was a drive down for them from Yuba city, but we were able to capture some beautiful images for the family. We hung out in the Old Folsom area, near the bridge and also drove by the abandoned train tracks. Check out the images from the session.

San Francisco Backyard Wedding: Ana + Vedran

Ana & Vedran had a gorgeous celebration of their love in the perfect little backyard of their home in my favorite city, San Francisco. It was a beautiful day for a wedding, not too hot, not to cold. Ana put together this celebration in a very short time, yet she incorporated beautiful details for personalized decor. I loved the purple accents, simple yet elegant linens for the cocktail tables really dressed up the backyard.

We took a short ride to the Palace of Fine Arts for some shots. Little did we know that we had an awesome photo-op waiting for us there! Fire fighters from San Francisco Station 38 was driving by and they offered Ana & Vedran to use the fire truck for the photos. We totally jumped into the offer and got some fun shots of the bride and groom and the bridal party. I love how unexpected events like this happen and can make a day that much more memorable! I know that I will remember this for many many years to come, and Ana & Vedran sure will think of this surprise opportunity every time they see the images.

Ana & Vedran – I was so happy to be there with you, witnessing your joy and tears alongside your family. I wish you both the very best in your exciting adventure ahead…

Enjoy some of the highlights from the day.
