A Warm Welcome!

Greetings and welcome to my hand-spun blog+site. My photography journey has been incredible! It began with fun, then grew into passion, then I discovered profound love for it and there was no looking back. Five years later, I have this custom site to showcase what I love doing so much, the art of capturing life just the way I see it. Please look around, this site is a reflection of me. Enjoy exploring it.

Indian Wedding Sneak Peek

It will be a little while before I can post images from this gorgeous wedding that I shot a couple weeks ago. I’m so in love with picture from the bollywood style reception that I couldn’t help sharing this on my blog. More to be posted in the coming weeks…keep checking.

Backyard Wedding at Redding : Bonnie + Brian

The word LOVE describes this couple. Talk about looks, chemistry, friendship, modesty; they’ve got it all. When I was invited over to their home for our first meeting, they greeted me with a warm hug and a big smile. I was in love with them instantly. I have not met a rocket scientist before, but Brian made that wish come true. I had no doubt that they were made for each other.

Bonnie and Brian planned to have their backyard wedding in Redding, CA where Brian spent his childhood at. Luckily it wasn’t a very hot day for Redding. The couple planned to have their first look at the Sundial Bridge. What a beautiful backdrop it was! The ceremony by the river was perfect. The DIY decorations were personalized to match their wedding colors. I couldn’t have agreed any more with the matron of honor, Bonnie and Brian looked incredibly gorgeous that night!

Over the course of last few months, I came to know Bonnie and Brian better as a couple. They were a big part of the very first promo video of Nudrat Owens Photography. We had a great time together and I’m so thankful that they agreed to shoot the video with me on their engagement session.

Bonnie and Brian – thank you for the opportunity to photograph your love and the most special memories that you will share from now and onwards. I was beyond thrilled to be a part of your day. I hope these remind you how beautiful your special day was for many years to come. Much love…

Maternity Photographs : Roenna + Chris

Remember Roenna & Chris, I photographed their wedding in early January of 2009. It was a perfect day for this perfect couple. I realized how loved they were by their familes. Little over two and a half years later, I met Ro and Chris again. This time, to photograph the pre-arival of their little baby girl. The charm of being a photographer, I get to photograph their life as they grow. What else could I ask for!

The golden light, falling leaves and a running river made a beautiful setup for Roenna and Chris’s maternity pictures. Roenna looked gorgeous! Chris made it a super fun shoot. I’m beyond excited for Roenna and Chris! Can’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy…

LDS Wedding Sacramento : Mackenzie + Jared

It didn’t take him that long to decide that she was the one. She also felt the same. He put the ring on her finger and asked her to be his. Three months later, they were sealed for the time in life and eternity.

Mackenzie and Jared couldn’t have looked any happier that day. She was glowing the moment she stepped out the Temple as Mrs. Wood. It seemed like the weather was in favor of them, sun was in and out of the clouds, making the day much cooler than usual. Mackenzie and Jared had a vintage lavender themed wedding reception. I was intrigued by the beautiful wedding decore Mackenzie’s mom put together. Only the pictures can show the details when not seen in person. I especially loved the idea of “Tea for Two” (tea leaves in vintage jars, fabric satchels for every guest to take some tea home).

The night ended with some fine music and the couple taking off in their car for their honeymoon. I had a chance to spend the day with Mackenzie & Jared and learn them better. I really appreciated the little discussion I had with Jared on robotics and current technology. I could tell how perfect he was for Mackenzie. I was so glad to be a part of their big day…enjoy some of my favorites from their wedding day.

  • Emily Heizer Photography: This wedding was super beautiful! What a unique take on a cultural hall wedding- they broke outside of it! I don't think I have EVER seen that done on church grounds before and so brilliant and obvious! Beautiful details and wonderfully executed. Lavender lemonade- I had that at another wedding and that stuff is GOOD! I love the herb theme- so sweet! :) So sweet! I LOVE temple weddings!

A journey to celebrate

It’s been six years. I remember the moment when I crossed over a half-broken bridge to meet you at the center of the swamp. I’m pretty sure those Allegators were laughing at my fear of drowning in the water. I took a deep breathe, I looked at you & walked towards you. You were dressed like a southern man or so you said! It would be a lie if I say I didn’t guess what might be happenning in the next few minutes. And it happened indeed! You were down on your knees.

You are the one I never knew I could have. But we are here today. We have a loooong road ahead that we will travel together. Our journey reminds me of that bridge I crossed over six years ago. I still remember the smile on your face from that day and that smile becomes my strength to overcome any fear.

Happy Anniversary, husband! I would never hesitate to cross any of those bridges to be with you…
