Holiday season it is

December is my favorite month of the year. Christmas is right around the corner, my birthday follows a week after. For some reason I’m pretty excited about my upcoming birthday. Getting older is not much fun, but there is will be a major change in numbers next year. So I decided to embrace it in style. I had originally planned a bday trip to mighty continent of Africa to see the Pyramids, but it’s been pushed back a month. Instead, we are going to take a short trip to Mexico to warm up for the big vacation. I CAN’T WAIT!!!! Going to Egypt is my biggest childhood dream, the amazing history behind it fascinates me! I’ll be offering birthday special starting from January 1 for the month of January. Come back for more details on that.

Last weekend I shot my last wedding of the year, the images turned out soooo beautiful that I have to share one…

craziness

Things have been pretty crazy lately. I may sound like a broken radio, but seriously, I don’t know how my days go by. I have been planning on returning my sister’s call for the past few days, I finally made it happen today. I also cleaned up my office, backed up the images and delivered the DVDs from September-October weddings. I had a few minutes to myself today to think about all the stuff that had happened in last two months. It’s been exactly a month since I left my previous employer, still can’t get over the sorrow. I know I shouldn’t get that emotional about the whole thing, but I’m not Me without soft sentiments. I wish I wasn’t so sappy sometimes! The price I pay for such acts is not just worth it.

Megan & Ryan || Elk Grove wedding photography

Megan & Ryan had a beautiful fall wedding at the Strauss Island of Elk Grove park. It was a pleasure to be there, documenting their wedding. As I was shooting, I was listening to the stories the families shared. I knew they were super sweet when we met, but as the stories unfolded, I learned a different side of Megan & Ryan. They really, absolutely, were made for each other!

Anna & Ed || Old Sugar Mill Sacramento wedding photographer

For the second wedding on my mega wedding weekend I drove out to Old Sugar Mill to shoot Anna & Ed’s wedding. If you missed Anna and Ed’s engagement pictures, check them out. I don’t need to say much about the love the couple shares. It’s written all over! Anna looked gorgeoous on her vintage wedding gown. I loved the floral head-piece she was wearing. I was able to capture their first look at the vineyard across the street. It was a sweet, tender moment for the bride and groom.
