A Warm Welcome!

Greetings and welcome to my hand-spun blog+site. My photography journey has been incredible! It began with fun, then grew into passion, then I discovered profound love for it and there was no looking back. Five years later, I have this custom site to showcase what I love doing so much, the art of capturing life just the way I see it. Please look around, this site is a reflection of me. Enjoy exploring it.

San Francisco Backyard Wedding: Ana + Vedran

Ana & Vedran had a gorgeous celebration of their love in the perfect little backyard of their home in my favorite city, San Francisco. It was a beautiful day for a wedding, not too hot, not to cold. Ana put together this celebration in a very short time, yet she incorporated beautiful details for personalized decor. I loved the purple accents, simple yet elegant linens for the cocktail tables really dressed up the backyard.

We took a short ride to the Palace of Fine Arts for some shots. Little did we know that we had an awesome photo-op waiting for us there! Fire fighters from San Francisco Station 38 was driving by and they offered Ana & Vedran to use the fire truck for the photos. We totally jumped into the offer and got some fun shots of the bride and groom and the bridal party. I love how unexpected events like this happen and can make a day that much more memorable! I know that I will remember this for many many years to come, and Ana & Vedran sure will think of this surprise opportunity every time they see the images.

Ana & Vedran – I was so happy to be there with you, witnessing your joy and tears alongside your family. I wish you both the very best in your exciting adventure ahead…

Enjoy some of the highlights from the day.

South Indian Hindu Wedding – Nandini + Reetesh: Sacramento Wedding Photographer

I’m so excited to finally blog about this wedding I photographed right after Thanksgiving last year. This was my first Hindu wedding photographing, I was so looking forward to the cultural boost. Nandini and Reetsh had a colorful South Indian wedding at Hilton Fremont. The groom arrived on a horse and the groom’s family danced the way to the hotel where bride’s family gave a traditional reception to them. Nandini had two different outfit during the ceremony. And the groom, Reetesh, was dressed in North Indian style groom’s attire. The wedding Mandap was adorned with rustic orange roses. Fall colors made the event even brighter and more festive.

Nandini was gorgeous as a traditional South Indain bride. I loved the garlands Nandini’s mother made for the bride and groom to exchange. Such personal touches make a ceremony like this even more meaningful. After teh ceremony and quick prayers with parents, bride and groom were off to getting ready for the reception. We had very little time between the two events to capture a few lovely shots of the newlyweds.

Sacramento Hyatt Regency Indian Wedding Reception: Balpreet + Brian

Balpreet and Brian’s 3-day wedding saga ended with the Reception at Downtown Sacramento Hayatt Regency. Balpreet’s understated yet elegant look and Brian’s traditional tuxedo was just right for the party. This event was gorgeously designed and coordinated by Anais event. From the lighting to the flowers to the decor and to the music – all were perfectly matched to the style of the couple.

It’s always a bit emotional for me to say goodbye to the couple at the end of the event. After a fews days of being with the family I start to feel like I’m a part of them. This was no different.

Balpret and Brian – Thank you for allowing me to capture your memories. I wish you the very best for the future ahead and I hope I get to see you again in the near future. :) ) XOXO

Punjabi Wedding in Sacramento: Balpreet + Brian

Balpreet and Brian’s wedding ceremony took place at the Roseville Sikh Temple. Balpreet was breathtaking in her bridal outfit and Brian was totally a Punjabi Groom in his traditional attire. The ceremony was beautiful and witnessed by their friends and family and the loved ones. The end of it always emtional, when the parents say goodbye to their daughter and send her off with the groom. I just love all the colors, fun and emotions of a cultural wedding.

The Old Sugar Mill Wedding: Veronica + Rob

They couldn’t have found a better match for each other! Veronica and Rob are such a couple! They have so much going for them – the looks, the chemistry, the love and the friendship that are unmatchable and perfect for each other.

This was my first wedding after having a baby. It would be a lie if I say I wasn’t a bit nervous going in leaving the baby at home. But I realized that my passion was still their. I loved every moment at the wedding as a photographer and a friend to Veronica and Rob.

Veronica looked amazing on her princess wedding gown. Bright red flower arrangements for her bouquet was gorgeous and added a pop of color to the background of the Old Sugar Mill. I loved the birdcage veil and I have to be honest, I never saw the shoe clips she had on her wedding shoes. They were incredible! Rob went with a Gray suite instead of the traditional tuxedo. Red-Gray-Silver was the perfect color palette for their wedding. The hallway was romantically decorated with the red up lights and silver and rhinestone accents all through out. I had a great time with the bridal party. The entire crew was so much fun to hang out with.

Their first look was so emotional! Rob was simply smitten by her looks. Later we had an opportunity to go out to the vineyard to get some beautiful shots of the newlyweds; can never be wrong with a setting sun and gorgeous grapevines in the background.

Veronica and Rob graced the floor with a John Mayer song for their first dance. If one knows my love for John Mayer (songs), knows how I felt at that moment. A little tear or two might have dropped down my cheeks. They were so in love while having fun at the dance floor.

Veronica & Rob – I am so happy for you guys! Thank you for letting me in to your life and witness your very special day. I hope you relive the day through these images.
