A Warm Welcome!

Greetings and welcome to my hand-spun blog+site. My photography journey has been incredible! It began with fun, then grew into passion, then I discovered profound love for it and there was no looking back. Five years later, I have this custom site to showcase what I love doing so much, the art of capturing life just the way I see it. Please look around, this site is a reflection of me. Enjoy exploring it.

Indian bridal hair, henna and makeup: Collaboration

It was a super sunny Sunday to photograph Minal’s (of Bridal Henna Beauty by Minal) portfolio pictures for her bridal henna services for Indian brides. Six gorgeous models and one talented henna/hair/makeup artist made a boring afternoon so worth while. Check out Minal’s bridal services in the Sacramento area and beyond. If you are a South Asian bride, looking for a hair stylist or henna artist for your wedding, Minal is the one. Here’s some of her work that I photographed last weekend.

Roseville Children photography: Liam’s 1st birthday

I have known this little boy from the day one of his life. And I have to say that I’m in love with his little toes, the golden hair and his bright blue eyes. I love this little munchkin…little Liam. He is a trooper, he is strong, smart and obviously the cutest! Liam turned One yesterday. I couldn’t have missed this opportunity to capturing this bg event. He wasn’t feeling the best, but he let me take some snaps. I hope he doesn’t hate me for the thirty-minute of pain he had to go through for the pictures in the morning ;)

Happy First Birthday, big boy…I love you more than you know….

Roseville Portrait photographer

I just finished photographing holiday portrait of four beautiful families over last two weekends. First up, the Horton family. Joe, Katarina, Nicolas and Lili are my lovely neighbors who have become very near and dear to my heart. Capturing their family moments is simply an honor for me. Check out a few highlights of their shoot …

Sunny || Roseville Sacramento Portrait photographer

I have known Sunny for about four years now. We met at a community party and found out that we lived within 2 miles of each other. We exchanged phone numbers and business cards and that was it. Months later she invited me over to her house for dinner. We hit it off right there, we became friends. Sunny and I aren’t exactly alike. But there is something about our friendship that tells me that we will be friends for many, many years. We learned a lot about each other during this time. I already knew that she was sweet. But over time I learned that she is way more than just a beautiful woman.

She embraced me with open arms.
And I learned from her to accept life as it presents itself. She has faced the dark reality. But she came out of it to become stronger, more confident and even more beautiful than ever.

Sunny wanted to capture herself in the images, not the images of herself only. And I think we did it. We finally found a day when it wasn’t pouring outside. We started off at a near by park, ended at downtown Roseville. Sunny loves to read books. She believes that “one apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Never a day goes by without she having an apple

She is also a fashionista! Especially with shoes! She has quite a few of those We wanted to bring in all the elements that represent her. She is a cheerful person, she loves to laugh. She is passionate about helping others. She is someone who will not show her back when a friend is in need. She truly has a genuine heart.

I was so excited to capture these images of Sunny. I love it when I get to document moments that are so important in life. I’m glad that I have Sunny to call a friend, I hope to share many more years of memories with her.

Sneak peak | Roseville Sacramento portrait photography

This was supposed to be a slow and lazy weekend for me. But no, I realized one more time that I can’t really sit down and relax that easily. It’s like I have some restless-syndrome, if that even means anything. It’s also the Easter weekend. Rain had finally stopped, neighbors are out in the cul-de-sac, playing with kids and socializing. My rose bushes are starting to show some colors. I can’t wait until my garden blooms again, it’s been a long winter this year.

Here’s a sneak peak from Sunny’s portrait shoot this afternoon.
